Without actually being in the space I can only give you guidelines as to what works well. First the vessel looks good if it doesn't come all the way to the front edge of the counter-top. Have it set back just a bit. If you take 16 from 22 that leaves you 6". You'd think to split the difference and have 3 and 3, front and back respectively --- however, you may wish to error on the side of more room to the back so maybe 4 in the back and 2 up front. (this depends on a lot of things of course so before you drill a hole in your counter-top get all the parts and lay them out to see how it "feels". As for the faucet... I personally like a faucet (opening at the spout) to be about a 1/3rd into the vessel from the back of the vessel plus the distance to the wall. Some people take it all the way to the middle but that is kind of deep into the "bowl". Again, it depends on the faucet and how the water comes out of the end of the spout (is it at a 45 degree angle so it shoots into the bowl or is it 90 degrees turned down into the bowl?). Take a tape measure and let it stick out from the wall starting with 8" then 9 and 10". (A standard construction tape measure case is 3" so add the inches sticking out of the tape to 3" while holding the tape to the wall and that is your true measurement --- so, if 5" is sticking out of the tape and you're holding the case part to the wall then it is 8" --- it is easier to work with as the end of the tape will mimic your faucet spout opening...) As for how high...again, that is a personal comfort thing. Go to one of your existing bathroom lavatories (aka sink) and have someone else hold the tape to the wall as described above. Then you put your hands under the end of the tape above the lavatory and see what is comfortable for you --- then measure how high off the top of your lavatory and you'll have the height off the top of your vessel + the height of the vessel (which the total should be the height off the counter-top. I just went to the vanity in my bathroom, put the tape off the wall (set for 8" away from the wall --- and I also have a 22" deep counter) and I was comfortable with 4" above the top of the lavatory/vessel. You may error a little higher by a 1/2" or so but I wouldn't go lower. (The attached image shows a spout that is probably more like 6" above the vessel with a 45 degree angle at the spout opening.)
