We needed to level the back yard since it is hard to mow - ready for fill dirt now. The concrete blocks will be covered up.

Transplant everything before we build.

Top soil in our back yard. We got it now piled on side of house, but it arrived too late, it's frozen...come spring we need to wheel barrow it over and drop it where needed. We got it for
"free", which means we have to sift out the rocks ourselves. I'm thinking i can use the rocks to create a raised flower bed. Time will tell thou what we "actually" do with those rocks ?????

If you have any areas which run from higher ground to lower, you could use the rock to fashion a dry riverbed. Would look very natural, and makes a lovely focal point in any setting.

Replace my European garden with easy care shrubs, so it doesn't need weeding when I'm not there. Weed and revive my American garden. Work on ground covers. Review the fence for rot.

Getting my chrysanthemum cuttings started - I'm a member of the Chesapeake Chrysanthemum Society.

building and planting raised vegetable garden in my backyard. In process of developing what to plant in each square foot.

I'm doing an entire overhaul of my raised bed garden, because I removed some small trees and really expanded my fun sun areas. I'm always adding to my flower gardens and this year I want to add a meditation/pet memorial/shade garden. I think I want to try some peonies in with my lilacs.

I need to refinish the deck, but that isn't nearly as fun as playing in the dirt!

Landscaping probably. Thinking of a staggered progress so we can do it in stages. We're not very experienced gardeners so will need professional help.

Plant annuals in front garden area we just constructed last year. Start back yard project. Need to map it out, finding out where the septic field is. Mark where parking pad to go, where deck and patio areas will go, and then where grass will be removed for trees and shrubs along the back. The wire fence needs to be opened up to get in and clear out the woods behind the fence that has been neglected. I have a source for some free large trees and shrubs. I want shrubs with food for the animals and just enough trees for some part shade so I can have hellebores and other shade plants. So that area will be amended for the perennials too. So much to do, so little money on a fireman's pay and office assistant's pay.

Redo a patio that was built in the 70's. Pavers are still good, just need to be lifted and new sand put in place.

I have a tricky property to landscape. It's quite sloped, and my back yard is a forest. But this year I've decided to level out some side yard. I'm quite excited to get a very large delivery of soil and rock and get started. Right now it's all under 3 feet of snow, so I'll be waiting for a while.

Our backyard receives a lot of shade. Tried grass...would've like that, but tried it, moving on to plan B...Any ideas for colorful plants that like shade?

The vegetable garden has suffered from wet spring weather last year and animal predation (deer and rabbits) so maybe raised beds and fencing. Looking for something attractive as it is visible from patio.

Tear up the back yard, and put the yard in to lawn in the middle with plants around the edge. Moved in here last fall and its a Hodge-Podge out there. I need order of some sort.

Expand the vegetable garden and add memorial gardens with the kids in memory of our 2 dogs who passed away.

I would like to know how this moss was installed in a way that grass does not grow into it. I have tried moss between rocks and grass and clover always ruins it. I don't enjoy picking up the rocks and tearing out weeds twice every year. It gets so bad so quickly even when I weed regularly and religiously. I can't keep moss clear of grass like this on this picture.
