Our fire pits weigh between 250-300 pounds. Hope that helps.

Also an addendum to the weight question, the larger deep wok can weigh as much as 350 lbs. Just depends on the pour.

Thanks for asking. We are actually only selling the concrete bowl. The btus would be something that varied depending on how you installed it. There are many variables and I suggest you ask your plumber or whomever installed your gas line. You could even burn wood in it.

Are you using a design mix specially rated for wood fire use, otherwise the heat produced by a wood fire could potentially cause the concrete to crack and possibly explode. Just a note for safety if you are commenting that wood fire is possible.

Thanks for the safety check, Twisted Minds Custom Designs. We have been selling them for over 9 years for both gas and wood use and nothing has ever exploded. They will, however, get surface cracks with constant wood burning (even gas if you use it all the time) if you don't use a layer of lava rock to protect the bottom. They won't break though as they are made with an internal steel mesh.

how do you feed it with gas ?

A plumber would install a gas line to come up just under the pit which has a hole in the bottom. Some where on this line (usually right next to the pit), there is also a valve that comes up that turns the gas on and off. You can also order the fire bowl with a hole in the side so that the key for the valve can go there but it isn't usually done that way.

Do you have the cement done in large pebble forms to put in there as it burns?
