We are remodeling and debating on whether we should place the stove in the island. Cooking is very social for us and the island faces into the family room (with bar-stools opposite, but 2.5 feet from edge of stove). I dont want a range over the island so not sure if its worth considering without that. We cook 3-4 times/ week and often sear meats and cook with lots of spices.
Would love feedback from anyone who has a stove in the island and how that has worked out. Thanks!
