A lot of things i can do myself. With that said, i would install all cabinetry/countertops/stovetops, where i wanted them. Then i would call in the granite people later on to make it work! Sorry, That's my position. I don't wish to make any body's job harder, but in my case the granite people are going to have to deal with it, and unfournately, they're going to be bill me accordingly.

Place your appliances and sink where wanted on plans, supply granite company with the templates, they cut and install counters, then appliance people and plumber come to drop in cooktop and undermount the sink. I have done it that way 3 times, and have never heard of installing the appliances first.

Even for bathroom counters, the cutout for sinks is made first with the template, and then the sink is dropped in or undermounted (make sure you polish the counter edge for undermount styles).

Sometimes the faucet holes are drilled on site, after counter installation, but be sure to plan ahead for enough room to operate the handles fully behind the sink.
