Thanks for the info. We are putting in the exact same fireplace and intend to mount our 65-inch tv above it. Have you have any issues w/ heat? Also, does the fireplace heat the room much, or is it more for ambience?

None. If you follow the "vertical to horizontal" offset requirements, you won't have issues. I use this fireplace a lot. It puts out a fair amount of heat but not nearly as much as a wood burner. It also has adjustable flame controls with the remote.
