Need temporary fix for yucky bath floor tile

I need to turn my bathroom into more of a natural oasis-type place. The contractors screwed up the tile (too much space in between the tiles), so I need ideas about how to make it less icky. Going along wit a natural theme. Also, the tiles are sooooo light, it's hard to keep them clean.

Believe it or not, you can glue down a cork tile over top of ceramic tiles. It takes a bit of self leveling cement to fill in the grout lines and a little bit of sanding that patch to get it smooth and then you can glue down over the tiles. Better yet, completely cover the tiles in a thin layer (you need to rough up the ceramic by giving it a light sand) of thin set and then glue down straight to that.

Water based contact cement (0 VOC) is used to install the tile and then sealed with low VOC water based polyurethane and you have a natural, soft, warm, water proof cork floor; for roughly the same price as new tile floor.
