Hi - We are both in school and on quite a budget. We have a mix of furniture that we bought cheap, second hand, or got for free. Most of it is not exactly my taste, but I am willing to put in some elbow grease and buy some accents in order to make it something that is more "me".

We are moving to a rental with dark hardwood floors and white/cream walls. We cant change the paint or floors.
I have a dining room table and chairs (pictures attached) that we got for free, and I would like to paint/stain the chairs and reupholster.

We also have a maroon couch with nail-studs, which is not my taste, but I would love to dress it up with some bright, fun throw pillows, and tie it all in with a fun yet classic dining room table and chairs.

We also have a dark brown china closet and a medium to dark brown buffet.

Attached are some pictures of the chair (we also have a three cushion couch to match) and the dining room chairs (its very clear why we need to redo them!) If you have any advice about what color we can paint the chairs and what sort of fabric we could use for the chairs, as well as a rug we might be able to use for the couch, etc. or any other design advice, we'd love to hear it!!!!
