Help, husband is going to kill me..I cannot stop purchasing pillows. Please tell me which you like better. The third picture is our curtain pattern which is tough to see bc of sunlight coming in. Option 1 or 2 please!!!

Hi! Looks like you have a lovely place! I think instead of the pillows you have chosen, I would go a more colorful route.

Keeping the same colours as the lamp is the way to go.
Why stop at 2 pillows? Throw in an accent colour (maybe blue?) in a long pillow, or two small ones to give it some interest.

I voted, but I'm not really in love with either. I'm also not a fan of symmetry, so I would go with either 3 or 5 pillows total. Maybe you could keep those and also pick up some with a little more color?

Thanks so much guys! I definitely want to get other pillows to go with one of these sets...my accent color is kinda like a turquoise so will try and find something like that. I did try these two together but seems like one is so subtle and one is so bold that they don't compliment each other? I am so bad at this stuff!!! And the husband is gonna kill me, I think I have a pillow fetish lol!

Your couches and your tables are both pretty dark. I'm not sure of what your budget is for the room, but the room is lacking in texture. Maybe add some colorful pillows and a textured rug. I would only go with one of the gray and white pillows, and then others so that the room won't be too symmetrical or "matchy".

Not sure of your "style", but IKAT prints may work for you....

Omg I love one kellis! First time I clicked it showed smthg different! Love turquoise iKat ones! Thx!!

The first set you posted may be okay. Are you planning to do the same pillow on each end? If you are looking for the space to have more depth, you will want to have an odd number of pillows with varying prints that tie together with color. However, if you like symmetry, that will be okay too. Depends on the look that you are going after.

    Which one do you like?
I like the one on the right. I'd prob do two and w something that compliments it. Then a small rectangle on love seat?? No idea lol..
If u have any ideas of what would compliment the turquoise iKat I would love that!! Thx so much, u guys totally know what u r doing!:))
That should be fine. Again, you just want to make sure that the colors compliment and the patterns pull together nicely. For example, you could do a square pillow with a smaller rectangle pillow in front of it (on bigger couch) and then square pillows on the smaller one.
Totally! Any pillow suggestions to match it?
Believe it or not, I'm a neutral gal. However, you have a dark gray couch which can handle bold colors such a deep purple, turquoise, yellows, or fuschia (hot pinks). I struggle when making suggestions sometimes because everyone has their own preferences and budget
    .
I'm neutral too! That's why you see option #1 is super neutral..what would u put?!
Hahaha....funny you would ask. So I have a gray couch that I absolutely refuse to colorize! Right now, I am leaning towards creams/tans, beige, light greys, cocoa browns, etc. I figure I can probably pull it off by layering textures. Some of the pillows will have shimmer, a little bling....varying fabrics. :-)
My husband won't let me bling it, says its his only thing close enough to a room where he can watch baseball etc lol..r u on Pinterest? I wanna see your ideas!!
I don't have anything pinned. I'm just like you...looking for help in my own space! For example, here is a chair in my room. I wanted texture but not color. I'm still working on this room but you will see that all 5 items are neutrals of varying textures. The bling isn't too bad.....lol
  • 12 years ago
I like! West elm has some neutral pillows w little grommets around it...also what about one of those really fuzzy, whiteish pillows..do u know what I mean? Hilarious, I have no business giving advice lol!!
    And I love ur curtains
You mean one of these!!! Lol
Thanks, that curtain is way too short. I just HAD to see it in the space though (from JCP). So the correct length (ordered online) comes in tomorrow. I hope it works out :-)
