I'm decorating the living room of our new house. Based on measurements of the sofa (94"), the coffee table needs to be in the range of 54" (2/3 the length of the sofa, not including its arms). I wanted a gold-ish and glass table to fit the style I'm going for. There are very few I could find around 54". They tend to hover around 48", and there are a few long versions at ~60". One that I found is shown here. I like it, and I Iike that it has a bit of glam and a bit of rustic to it. But, I worry about 3 things: (1) **Will this table be too busy on top of this couch, since they both have a pattern of sorts?** (2) It is only 51"; is 51" too short for a 94" couch? and (3) I'm used to having a shelf below on our coffee table. Is it annoying without? Thx!
