Need cabinet/counter/island design help

I'm going for a fairly modern/minimal look and am considering monotone solid surface counter tops. Which of these color schemes (or others), do you like best? I tend towards the inverted gray/white scheme, but I'm afraid it could hurt resale, b/c it really limits future design options? Any other thoughts on solid surface vs. stone are appreciated.

I think maple, like bar tables, would be very flexible, then a dull white marble used for key areas. make the marble beneficial, then fill other areas with the maple, it would look awesome.

The contrasting island s perimeter cabinetry option looks more interesting IMO.

The dark grey lowers looked good. I can not see the floor plan. Are you limited because of wiring to the fridge placement. Do you have to have the island . It looks lil when yo open the fridge door you are very close to the island. It seems limiting for traffic flow and looks small.
