The counters are Quartzite, Mother of Pearl.

Cambria and Ceaserstone make "Quartz" - a manmade product. These counters are "Quartzite" a natural product mined from mountains.

Actually, yes, very well. That's the beauty of Quartzite, it's resistant like Granite, but
light and pretty like marble, just costs a lot.
