I would do them floor to ceiling. It visually will heighten your room.

Do the curtains ceiling to floor. Do you need privacy? If not just frame the windows with panels to the same fullness. There is some much to choose from from Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, World Market has great sales, Pier 1, and lots online too. Have fun!

I agree - go right to the ceiling. There is very little clearance up there anyway.

I don't think you need the privacy at the top of the large windows or the kitchen doors. The transom windows.

I would leave them open for light and architectural interest. I would use silhouettes, also come as (horizontal blind shades) like below - on the windows for privacy and filtering light at the same time. Then accent with stationary panels to add some accent colors in the room. Maybe panels in a print for added color and life.


On the kitchen doors, I would repeat the silhouettes or vertical shades below. Drape panels are not necessary.



Or .... Hunter Douglas shades, they are like vertical shades and curtains at the same time
