I suggest using the grout colour for the walls, an espalier and a mix of perrenials and bulbs for the front garage bed, and extending the window bed out to include evergreen selections in the front. More specifically, 3 small bushes spaced evenly across( to mask and soften both corners), filled in w more bulbs and perrenial flowers.
In the back, concentrate on larger plants w leaf interest, interspersed with grasses/ ferns and trailing succulents to spill over the low cement wall.
Your local nursery will have advice as to particulars ( LA has several microclimates that must be honoured to make appropriate selections), and a 30 minute consult w an in house designer can you save you money. Best of luck w your project.

I think your garden has great potential. As you mentioned in your previous post, you would like to make your outdoor more comfortable to spend some time in it with your family and your friends. Because you have limited space, you need furniture like the rolling bench that will offer you enough versatility. For example, if you have some friends over for lunch you can easily move it around the table to create extra sitting.
