We are in such a dilemma! We need to replace our picture windows in our living room due to termite damage. We are contemplating the questions do we go the cheapest possible way and just replace them with what we already have? Or do we take advantage of the situation and try to do something with the large amount of space above the window, which more light would be magnificent for the room.
The problem I am seeing is if we put any sort of window above the existing windows, it will look odd and cut the natural lines of the room. There is a header above the windows and we don't want to go through the expense of changing the header out!
