I have some large planters attached to my house that are about ready for plants. The planters are fairly large, but since they wrap around the house, don't get equal sun time. The front of the house (right side of the photos) is out of the sun around noon and the Corner as well as the rest of the planters (left side of photos) get full sun. When we actually have sun, anyway. Our climate is temperate with winters dropping as low as 0 degrees F, but rarely below 25 and summers get as hot as 90 and humid, but only for a week or so. I am looking for low maintenance plants for at lest the front of the house as well as the 1st 2 planters on the side because they are difficult to access. I am going to run a drip Irrigation System to make watering easier. I like grasses and bamboo as well as horsetail if it is contained, but most of my planned landscaping is going to be herbs and fruit or nut trees. Somehow, it needs to go together without looking messy. The 3 planters that currently have plants are only a temporary space for them while we re-do the yard. There is a purple sage, lavender, white sage and thyme that will stay, but the bulbs and other miscelleous plants will end up in the garden somewhere.
