Hello,

This is a stairway we have to our basement floor. It has carpets on the stairs but the walls are cement on one side and wood on the other (railing) side. The problems we see:
1. Don't know if possible to see in the pictures but the ceiling is low and it is not very wide. We would be happy to hear of anything that will ease the claustrophobic feeling when you climb up or down (mirrors? light paints? some sort of patterns etc.?).
2. The cement's texture is not smooth and not in a nice way - just painting over with will not be enough, we suspect. Maybe texture painting?

Anything else to help us will be greatly appreciated!
