I am doing a remodel to a new property. I'm wondering what countertops you would suggest. I currently have corian in my home and I hate them!! I feel like I'm always babying them. I have 3 very active boys and I enjoy baking and cooking and do quite a lot of canning so I would like something that is very tough. Heat resistant, scratch resistant but still looks nice. Recommendations?

We went with granite. I think granite, quartz & then marble are the top three choices. A lot of it depends on what look you are going for.

Replaced my old laminate with quartz last year and love it. Totally low maintenance and does not require sealer. Installer said I could pour a pot of coffee on it and let it sit for a week and it still wouldn't stain.
