My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Mismatched widths

I tried to build this and ran into an issue that is not apparent in the photo. The Expedit desk that forms the middle of the T is about 1cm narrower than the 2x4 or 2x2 shelf. As a result, there is a gap between the tables and the 2x2 cube at the base of the T is not exactly flush. Beware!

    This design was completed back in 2012 before IKEA changed their Expedit desk combo to Kallax. I'm sorry you ran into issues but most of Niche's designs are custom fit using pre-fab products. Almost all of the Ikea units you see here have been tweaked to create a much better solution.
