Thank you Stefanie! I stressed about it for a long time. So glad I did it! It's the perfect combo of classic and modern.

I am looking at options for my backsplash and considered something similar. Can you tell me what you used?

It is the a 2X8 carrera tile from the Tile Shoppe. They always carry it. I am just afraid that the kitchen has too much carrera now. Maybe I will start another thread with this question, but it is too late anyway.

I'm not the right person to ask here because I love neutrals and my kitchen is similar to yours. I can't recall what color your island is? My island is dark wood to contrast my lighter cabinets and counter. At any rate, you can add some other wood colors in with counter stools and/or a kitchen table. You can add candy jars if you want color. I am not a designer but I feel staying neutral is very elegant and I really like what you have done. We can drive ourselves crazy second guessing ourselves when in reality, we've done a great job so I probably wouldn't. :) I will most likely do something similar with my backsplash.

I love how neutral it is, don't get me wrong. All my cabinets are white and our floors will be a dark java stain. So, there will be contrast. I love neutrals as well, I just hope I did not go Carrera overboard;)
