What is the wooden deck material? Is it sealed or natural?

I am looking for a sturdy wood that will naturally end up grey. Looking at IPE but wondering what else there is...

Where did you get this chalkboard?

This chalkboard was custom made out of 1x6 wood for the frame. Then we painted a large piece of plywood with chalkboard paint and put it all together. It's mounted to the existing fence. Super easy DIY project!

    Hello!

Your decision is going to boil down to price. We deal a lot with Ipe and know that it will last many decades even without any treatment. I'll attach some pictures for you here to take a look at of gray Ipe.

Mangaris Diamond is the brand name that Tata industries labeled the Merbau tree. It's not as strong as durable as Ipe but its better than Cedar or Redwood.

Is there a big price difference or dimension difference between the two woods?

From prices I've seen Mangaris Diamond has been more expensive mainly because it goes through a variety of distributors before getting to the end user.

We import directly and sell Ipe directly which allows us to have a lower price. Depending on where you're located and the way you'll install your decking material will determine what dimensional size is the best for you.
