Need help with honey maple cabinets and paint colors

I currently have green with my maple cabinets and really tired of it. Its amazing there are alot of posts about this dilemma because alot of homes 10+ years ago had these cabinets. But no answers! Would like to go neutral without being boring.My family room is open to the kitchen and just purchased taupe sofas so I can make quick changes when I want to.Has anyone ever seen neutrals with this wood?Thank You in advance.

Honey maple cabinets are a tough color to work with because they are so light. My best recommendation would be to paint over your green with a pale yellow or a soft blue. If you have it in your budget, add a stone backsplash for variety. I've attached a couple of samples. Further, if in your budget, you may also want to change your countertops to a granite, similar to the photo attached. Again, all of this is to bring your kitchen to life. I hope this helps. ENJOY!
