Need help planning my long narrow garden

Hi All,
I'm trying to plan my long narrow garden for a long time but it seems to be tricky for me. From the House entrance you imidiately see the patio and the garden trought a 4meters window. Having tiled the patio I left with a 2.5m wide garden that I don't know how to approach. I have 2 kids and we love to be outdoors. On the left side of the picture we have a barbecue area....and thats it....all the rest is waiting for my planning.
How should I cope with the narrow area? How can I make it seems wider?
