Glad to see I'm not the only one with a sense of humor in the loo.

My mother, who was a very serious and elegant woman, allowed for the family initial on the bathroom door in our summer house. It was a "P."

In college, we acquired a "No Dumping" sign that graced the wall over the toilet, and since we had one of those '50's salmon and mint tiled bathrooms that we see so many dilemmas about, we shopped with an open mind and came home with a prized bath mat I'll never forget of a prancing poodle in pink and green, reading "Do Your Own Thing." It was utterly ridiculous and still makes me laugh.

Now, the somewhat formal art in our master bath, at a glance seems all to be of various wildlife. Slowly though, you realize that the subjects are all staring at whatever it is you might be doing in there, from the shocked look on the lounging leopard right up to the giraffe that looks complacently downward from the tall wall over the shower... ;)

I was in Vegas this weekend and this sign was in the ladies room. It made me laugh. Of course, I was also a few glasses of wine into dinner.

Our shared bathroom in college acquired a life size poster of Robert Redford - no reason, it was just available. We used him as an outlet cover, plugged our electrics into his pants and faced a full length mirror to see him looking over our shoulders with a satisfied smile.

I have this "when pigs fly" poster framed over my soaking tub. The message might be that I won't use the tub that often ("I'll use it everyday, yeah....when pigs can fly...") Or, maybe it reminds me of how I look getting into the tub (like a pig) Or maybe, really, it's the joyful, reckless abandon with which the pig is jumping right in ("To heck with how I look; this will feel great")! Perhaps it's there for all three reasons...It does make me laugh!

I love the pin-up wallpaper room. It's perfect with the retro flooring and sink!

I don't know about funny, but the bathroom with the faces all over the walls I find terrifying. It reminds me of an awful recurring dream I have in which I'm on the pot and totally exposed to passing people. And no matter how I try to cover up or close the door, nothing shelters me from the embarrassment. Oh well, whatever my issue is, it's off to the shrink to resolve it. Attached is a quirky public toilet in New Zealand deigned and constructed by the late Mr Hundertwasser. We love it. : )

The chalkboard bathroom would be a great idea to leave messages for other members in the household.

I wanted to vote, but for me, the 'funniest' was that of the huge Einstein poster. Very full all 'round though!

Whilst I really adore the Subway one, I think over time the old brain would go, "Oh, yeah, whatever...." but the chalkboard could bring chuckles over a very long time. Would be fun reading visitors comments. Or I could change the look by making it a 'wallpaper' of stars or flowers or whatever. I could even make my shopping list in there! Now that's gotta be fun! ;)

The subway toilet is awesome!! Haha the use at your own risk is quite funny too! :) I agree with the other comments about the faces, that would give me nightmares lol!

If 'funny' is the unexpected, the couch in the shower is. Offers interesting activities too.
