I like Denita's suggestion of a lively green on the trim. something that speaks to the nature that surrounds your home. As for the brick. NO WAY should you paint it because it appears as if the builders took some time to lay out a pretty unusual design so that it did not look like common stacked brick in a running bond pattern. I think you might be best served by getting your back in to in and thinning out the hedges. Then maybe invest in some newer windows with more uniformity and not such a 70's look to the mutins. Then maybe some shutters in the same shade as the trim or in another contrasting shade. Invest in things to make your front door pop and powerwash that walkway. Do those "weekend" type projects first to uplift what you have and if you are still feeling adventurous then you can consider other options. Lovely home. Best of luck with her.
