No such thing as "best" it's all personal choice. I think the first thing you need to start with is selecting an area rug. That rug will set the tone for the style, walls, window treatments and accents.

Below I have listed some current rugs - you can also go a solid color. Each would go with your sofa and floor. In selecting a style and color you then would work off that for your wall.
