I am about to renovate a Condo galley kitchen which has a dinette at one end. I can't build into the dinette cause it is floor to ceiling windows and 1/2 round. I'm debating opening up part of the wall that gives on to the dining and living room making it open plan. I would be stuck with the stove on the open counter side and the ceiling is only 7 feet cause of a bulkhead and sprinkler valve. The living room will also be the tv room. I can't help but wonder if I should just leave well enough alone and keep the galley... or go for broke and open the wall.
