Thanks everyone. Anyone else care to comment on the white/grey vs grey/grey door/window colors?

Will your roof remains the very light gray as shown? The white is very "crisp" and makes me think of seaside or beach. If that is the look you want stay with the white. OR if you do not, photoshop picture to change white to light gray. With the gray stones at the foundation, I would consider a gray tone for trim probably to match the windows to make them all look "as one" and larger, and possibly look to a little darker gray roof..something like "weathered wood". Change to these on the picture and see what you think...remember it is YOUR house it should look the way you like it.

Yes the roof currently is planned to be a lighter color.. These components like the roof and doors that last a long time make me nervous because if I don't like the colors I won't be able to change them. That's why i'm asking to see what others think :).

Here are two sample paint images that might show the colors better then a CG rendering.. I painted the actual colors on my current house. I thought the roof color went well with it which is why in the CG rendering it's currently a lighter color.

I am struggling with the colors of the doors. My gut likes the white doors even if it isn't the same as the grey trim in the windows. French doors should be white :). The safe choice would seem to make the doors grey too though and even to go darker on the roof

Honestly, I personally, do not like the white trim with the gray windows..it looks like an afterthought. If the windows must stay gray..then I would do gray doors and gray trim. A front door could certainly be painted an accent or different color. Whatever you do you should stay consistent on all other doors and windows & all trim. You could however, paint the trim a lighter shade of the gray windows..look at this shade to see if it may go with your windows..

Buy paint samples and paint 2 coats on poster boards hold them up to see what you like..be sure to hold them on sunny side of the house and shady sides..all colors are different in sun and shade.

I like the gray/gray option. It ties in with the stone and gables. :)
