My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Beautiful porch. Would you please tell me the manufacturer of the porch railing? Is it composite? Thank you.

      The railing was custom made in a local woodworking shop and they attached between the posts. I believe the wood was pine - and obviously painted.

      Could you give the name & contact info of the wood shop. Perhaps they could ship. We're in Chicago. We can send them the specs, elevations, plans etc.

      Thank You, Sorry I haven't been on houzz for a while & missed your thoughtful tip. We have an 1875 house with original wood trim & windows all carefully restored. I'm interested to see if this will work.
