I don't think it's ugly....couple of easy fixes I would implement ( I'm no expert btw) would be to downplay the entrance near the garage door by painting it in a colour closer to the colour of the brick to make it disappear. I would add some big planters on either side of that door too. Then you may want to make the main entrance pop by adding flower gardens that are set out further from the house, in bright shades. Add some lighting and maybe make the triangle roof line above the front door a little bigger.
