The deck is about 5' deep and 15' wide, with a 14" step. However, the final size of the deck was created to fit a number of important on-site conditions - in this case, the precise size of the deck wasn't as important as long as it functioned to do what we needed it to do. This just happens to be the size that worked best here. Whether or not a deck size and shape will be successful or not is ultimately dependent on the conditions you have at your location and what you need the deck to be able to accomplish.

Did you use hidden fasteners for the decking? If so, has it warped at all? Curious since I'm doing a very similar project with Cumaru on top of stone and the manufacturer advised me to not use hidden fasteners and to leave some space btw boards to allow it to breathe, so to speak.

We used the Ipe Clip system for the decking and have had no problems with twisting here. Our contractor says they have no problems with about 98% of the Ipe or Cumaru material in general - the other 2%, though, is just not going to be cooperative no matter how you hold it down. This is more of a potential problem with wider boards. Good luck with your project.
