I am showing the kitchen as well as it faces the fireplace / living area with an additional "living room" just beyond. Again, it is all open. My furniture is mixed wood finishes and on the WARMER end of the spectrum. Please help. I am thinking a "beige-gold" but truly have no clue....:(

Try Shaker Beige HC-45 by Benjamin Moore. It's a cross between beige and gold. Here is a room that has been painted using this color.

What you say is so common among designers. We're quick and accurate to help others make decisions and yet it's a nail biter to make decisions for our homes. One paint I absolutely love is Syndey Harbour out of LA. The paint colors have many demensions according to the access to light.

I did a whole spec house in Skaker Beige and it worked for a big audience.

I just viewed a swatch on the BM website and I must say: THANKS! This color looks perfect.

Tina -- also have a look at Ben Moore -- Florentine Plaster CC -520 it's been a fav for many years now -- it looks great in any style room and with any furniture . Here is a staging tip for you -- and I do it in my own home - I have an old small cast iron fry pan that I put on the stove on min heat w/ some ground cinnamin. Just dry - you can also add a pinch of ground clove with it but I find that a bit strong. It puts a nice aroma in the whole house. Just don't forget about it - I use a timer too remind me .
