Need help front door, chimney, landscaping

We moved in this home last year, with idea to make some changes. First we would like to extend front entry, create hallway, front door with one side light. Dilemma is to remove chimney - install vent free gas fireplace ( there is gas line already) , or create gable roof, porch... Please help!
