Kitchen cabinet colour help, please - white or grey??

I have long lusted for a white kitchen. We are moving into a new build in several months and it's time to select cabinet colors. A new taupe/grey colour has caught my eye. So, I ask...grey or white? I'm looking at a shaker style door front.

As long as the gray leans towards putty or taupe, then I think either color will be neutral enough to stand the test of time. But if you have been wanting a white kitchen then for heavens sake get a white kitchen. They are classic. (Full disclosure: We have had off-white kitchens for the last 20 years and love them).
