I also really like the cabinets and how well they integrate with this stylle of early stone house. I was surprised and disappointed that the designers did not make use of the original features particularly the 18 inch stone walls and no doubt early wood features. I am also redoing an early stone house and every effort is being made to highlight these wonderful features. Too often houses are made to look clinical with so much white. A very nice house and exterior landscape.

Bob - Although not visible in some of these photos, we were able to make use of the fieldstone wall in the adjoining room. Once we removed the paneling that was covering it up, we highlighted the stone by adding a wood ledge that brought out some of the warmer tones. It's a lovely addition to the space. Thanks, I couldn't make out the stone section in the photo but so glad that this feature of the original house became part of the renovation. A respect and a certain reverence for the original home is so important for a successful renovation. The kitchen island is nice. We are struggling to find an appropriate one in what will be a kitchen with wood beams and stone.walls Always a challenge getting it all to blend well together. Thanks again for the reply.
