creating color flow between rooms

We are moving into this house soon. The furniture is not ours, so please ignore that as we will not have it. We want to create a new color scheme for these three rooms (living room, sitting room, dining room). I prefer more earth tones and my husband prefers bolder tones. Any idea how we can come to a compromise and still show a cohesive flow?

What a beautiful home!!!
Here's what I would do. Split up the neutrals and the color so neither is overwhelming. And with the three related spaces related, you'll need to coordinate it all. So,

Main living room area:
Color on walls balanced with neutral furnishings

Dining Room:
Put wainscoting around the room with wallpaper on top

These colors are beautiful and would work well in your home, but you could do the same idea with a different color scheme

One more thing-- when you do this, be sure to hang the drape panels and rods much closer to the ceilings!
