I plan to install the attached floors in my small lake cottage home. I'm afraid it might be trendy and won't stay timeless. I have the original 2 1/4 solid red oak select v hardwood floors in the upper level and unfinished select red oak stairs. The floor will be going into the whole lower level...Should I just stay with the old 2 1/4 red oak instead to keep it timeless?
