Think I like the white glass better

    The other

Definitely like the tan better. The white seems too stark a contrast with the cabinets and the countertop.

Can't tell by the pic but the tan is different than what is in my granite. My granite has more gold than tan

Have you considered black or dark grey? Accentuating the minority color will make the granite look more dimensional. A deep bronze would look good too.

A lot of it depends on the look of the whole room. However, just seeing this small portion, I agree that the contrast of the white would be nice. Also, u would consider one of the larger tiles. The granite is busy enough.

I like the larger tile. I had thought about gray. My granite has gray flecks in it and my appliances are black.

I like sample in pic 2 but I like the larger subway tile. wonder if you can find that colour in the subway

Picture two in a larger subway tile, less grout.

crimsonky, you might consider having the backsplash done in the same granite as your counters. A cleaner, less busy look. How well are you liking the white trim against your granite now? If the same granite is not an option, then, I agree you would likely be happier with a tile in one of the tones of your countertop. Best to you.

Sample #2 (the tan one). The white is entirely too stark for your cabinet stain and granite color.

    Choose Beige tones .
    No White.

Ok. Went and got another beige glass subway and two stone tiles. Opinion!

    Yeh ,
    Travertine Subway looks very rich.
    Add some accent.

    I like that!

The white us way to stark of a contrast for your counter. The second option is better but, if you can find an ivory or cream, I think that might be better.

Yes, I do like the Travertine subway tile. Could you take a picture and post a stand back shot of the kitchen so we could see the cabinets, counter, overall style of the busiest or largest bank of cupboards with floor. This would help with the decision if you should go with straight subway, no trim. Stand the tile up as well please. I need to see the whole picture. Thanks.

The travertine subway tile is quite nice and adds charm to most any space. The kitchen does not appear to be very large and an accent piece is not necessary. The small glass tile will be somewhat busy in contrast and a larger tile will make the counters look larger.. Which one do you like the most?

Im thinking the larger travertine. I've looked at so many that I can't decide. Lol

The medium travertine looks right to me, size and color.

We just finished a kitchen with glass tiles, the color of your small square glass ones. The customer had the exact same counter top as you have. It did come out very nice. The tile was the same shape as your "The other" shape tile with some dark chocolate color marble accents.

I actually like the white glass tiles the best out of all the ones you've posted. I like the contrast between the walls and the counters. The more beigey coloured ones look like theyre trying to match the counters, and failed.

The granite has a good bit of pattern in it, you don't want two things competing for attention. A back splash that blends in with the granite and contrasts nicely with the cupboards seems easier on the eyes.
