How was the screen framed in...was the frame slotted? Installation?

Wondering if you sunk the frame and then installed the lattice or created the screen and installed entire screen by sinking the frame...

Would like to know this also. Can you tell us what dimensions the other frame posts are?

If I were to guess on the screens, it looks as though the structural posts are 4x4 cedar. Then the lattice looks to be held in place with one strip of 1 x 2 on either side and nailed/screwed into the 4x4. Hope this helps.

Ooops, sorry I missed this question!! Solar Texas is right, although the material is redwood, which is more commonly used in this area of California. Thanks for your answer, Solar Texas!!
