Jmorley - did you ever find out who made the fan? Looking for the same thing and a little worried about the air king with noise.

I was also worried and spoke to a rep at air king. She said the noise is louder due to its industrial leanings and the air lower. I eventually changed my mind and gave in on putting a chandelier on the patio, which is really what I wanted. Instead, we will do pot lights along with a BigAss fan, the Haiku. It has seven speeds and is absolutely silent. I need to hear that outdoor tv I am putting in! My fan shipped today, so I will let you know what I think. Best of luck! I simply had a hard time with the low selection on corner wall fans and their noise or industrial look.

HOW DID THE BIGASS FAN TURN OUT?

I LOVE my BigAss fan! It was more expensive than other choices, about $1000 all in, but well worth it as we wanted to be able to sit outside in the hot, humid Houston days and nights. The fan whispers above me and is barely audible (even without the television on!) but it sure moves some air. It even makes it hard for mosquitoes to fly around! Bonus! We have about 15' ceilings outside so we went with an 24" drop and did the white fan with white can lights instead of a chandelier as I originally imagined. Worth the trade off to actually have a place I can sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine while I watch a movie. The sales reps at BigAss will help you decide what you need and their customer service is excellent. I can't say enough about the quality and performance of this fan...you will NOT regret this investment.
