Where do we obtain a generic specifications manual for building a midrange new home. We are looking for something that states what we want for grade and type of trim etc, what type and how many coats of paint are to be put on, what we expect for quality of products and quality of workmanship. We are familiar with working in the commercial building sector where this is common but I have not been able to find the same basic concept within the residential building sector. We are looking for an outline that will list out the main divisions of construction and specifically outline levels of product quality and workmanship quality that are to be provided. Please Help!
