I'm not a gardener, so sorry no gardening advice here. But start with a power washer for a clean slate to begin your project. Good luck!

Match the roof color. Use larger, black or dark brown, light fixtures. Lose the floodlight over the garage door. That front entry porch deserves a proper roof with a 12' high ceiling.

Consider painting a bit darker, lighting as suggested above, and giving the entry door a bit of color. And paint or stain the foundation concrete that shows.

Any other color ideas for the door?

Earthy terracotta... Has to be just the right shade ;)

I would add colorful flowering pots. I like the current color.

@ Color Zen.....my thought was Terracotta as well, just can't find the right tone.

I don't think I would paint the arch area above the garage door. Keep it the same color as the garage door.

i would get what is called a pocket lantern, which is flush to the wall, in black. add some large planters, trim back garden that is over flowing onto drive. paint the door dark black or light beige, lol. not sure on that.

What are the size of the light alcoves?

The alcoves are: top to bottom inside dimension 31"; inside width is 14" & where the fixture attaches it's approx 19.5" from top of alcove to middle of fixture.

The second example would work better it is 12 !/2 inches tall. The first one is too short sorry, I didn't check the size.

Okay, made a few changes.....put up new LED lights in the alcoves (probably should have went larger), removed the tree from the entranceway by the stairs, painted the door.....not quite the POP I was looking for. Any suggestions? Would SW Naval blue be too bold?

Considering your home has many neutral tones, I think that naval blue would be a little too bold. The only recommendations I have is to soften the drive way with planters on either side of the garage that could include flowers that correspond with the front door color and also tie that in with a larger front door mat. After all that is the first thing people get to see about your home and should speak to your personal style, as if to give a hint on whats on the inside!

I would get rid of that ground cover completely, move your sidewalk back just a bit to give you a bigger planting area by the front door. I like the ideas of painting the door black, black lanterns and so forth. You can bring in color with accessories and plants.
