We are replacing all our appliances with Stainless steel. The range is a gas slide in range. So we are adding a backsplash. We are not changing the countertops as we don't have the funds to do so, but, we are replacing one portion of the counters. We are having the countertop extended so we can use this as a breakfast bar I. The mornings. The hang over on the counter is on 3" and we want to extend it to a 12" overhang. The counter top also has an angle and I am wondering if I should just extend the counter to go straight across. That would mean the exit on on one end would be 12 inches and the portion at the wall would extend about 40" more. Of course this will change were the tile extends to. So I have two questions. One is should I extend the counter and square it or keep the angles. Next question is the tile will extend past the counters. Can I counter this some other way?
