Revived Antique Sofa (before and after)

When one of FabricSeen’s clients, Layne C., was in need of an upholstery fabric to revive her grandmother’s approximately 70-year-old sofa, she used our spectacular customer service team’s expertise to find the right discounted fabric to complete her upholstery project. ( http://fabricseen.com/)

Layne’s finished sofa becomes the central focus of this interior design. She put primer and high gloss black on the wood and then used an antique gold buffing paste on all the raised surfaces of the wood. Using 12 yards of Raleigh Fabric in Cocoa, Layne had her upholsterer double chord the edges of the sofa. She then made all the pillows, top-stitching the gold medallions and tasseling a few of them.
