Marie. You have quite a lot of wall space to cover. My suggestion would be to keep the walls neutral and bring the blue/gray in the room with drapery, pillows and art. Its always easier to swap out pillows than to repaint! Good luck.

swap the dark arm chair with the light one. move the sub to the other side, also you need a lighter colored console table with the chair rail its to much contrast. country casual i would say, two tone paint above and below chair rail. I think you need to get some more art up on that big tv wall and the stairwell wall, and live in for a bit. once it is more lived in you will see what works.

Thanks for the advice. The walls are two different colors so we need to paint. Should we stick with the beige family ? What about an accent wall ? The kitchen is going to be a mocha so I believe the flow will be good.

Beige, greige, or gray would work. I love the two tone look that Flair Lighting shared with the lighter shade above the rail and a darker but similar shade below. It helps lighten up the space.
