Presently, the cedar shakes on my 1930's home are a blue-ish/gray color. There were at one time shutters on the house (green) that were disposed of before I moved in. I'm not really a big fan of the color of the house now & would like it to pop. The neighbors have all commented about how nice I've got the place looking & have used the terms "cute" & "dollhouse" to describe it. I'm leaning toward maybe a little bit darker gray with teal or turquoise shutters. Also, at the end of summer I will be having the detached garage "spruced up". The 4 carriage doors that are rotting off the hinges will be replaced with one large roll-up garage door with the look of 4 carriage doors with windows. I will also be replacing the metal roof & need to choose a color for the roof. The color of the shingles on the house are "weathered wood". So my questions are: what color roof for the garage, what color to paint the house & garage, what color shutters, window boxes?
