Needed to Refresh my kitchen on a budget

Removed the floral wall paper. Painted BM Stonington Grey. Replaced all knobs on cabinets with brushed nickel. Removed black and lemon tiles and replaced with the tile. Still need to make a cornice board valance for over the sink but have fabric and just need husband to fabricate it.

Thanks for feedback. The column's are not structural but decorative. I do not love them but once removed it would open up other problems with the counter top. I Want to remove and do all new cabinets and flooring. Cabinets are in bad shape although it does not show on these pictures. Counter is warped and laminate over 25 years old.This was done just to put a band-aid on the very outdated items that were present when we moved in 14 years ago. Full redo is not in the budget with 3 kids in college.
This only cost less than $300.00 and taking out the old tile and replacing it was well worth it.

if you can change out those electrical plugs, they were the first thing I noticed. Are the columns structural? If in the budget I would updated the appliances. If not, removing the photos from the fridge would "clean up" that space. You have done a nice job with the new paint and back splash and hardware. Maybe a few art accents on the walls or an accent colour in bowls for on the counter tops

bbowers35, it was the very first thing I noticed too. Easy to change plugs and switches. Go to an electrical supply house - they are very inexpensive.

Thanks. Not a fan of orange. Should remove stuff from fridge but like to look at my kids when they were happy and little. Now they are not home as much. Light switches are white and mostly blend with the white tile if I did stainless it would really stand out (in a bad way ) but I may try 1 to see.
