Thanks for the input. I'll try laying it out based on your suggestion. Attached is a view including more of the master suite & laundry area. We struggled with designing this area because of the angle of the house in this area & trying to incorporate certain aspects that were important to us. If you have any other suggestions, we'd love to hear them! :)

why not put the laundry into the area to the left of the door - by hall closet - and include the laundry area into the walk in wardrobe space ?! and close the entrance in from the hall.

Like this ... ok - I admit I moved a wall - but given the choice between a super sized walk in wardrobe and an oversized laundry ( when there's a separate utility too ) then the walk in wardrobe wins hands down !

I would put the two drawer stacks side by side by the laundry chute. I would put all the double hang on the one wall adjacent to the master bath. I would put the single hang on the wall shared with the laundry. I would rather have the short tight area between the two parallel hanging areas than the awkward perpendicular hanging walls. The bench with the 12" deep shelves could go on the wall perpendicular to the two hanging walls.

I am not sure what the entry space is used for but I really like OnePlan's idea of making it the laundry room and have that spacious closet.

Closet Expert, would you mind drawing your suggestion? It is not clear to me. It seems that you have the double rod and the single rod facing each other in a 5'-6" wide space. I must misunderstand something.

I am not sure if you have the space but I would try to switch the toilet and the shower. The toilet entrance seems big enough to be able to put a regular door. Having the shower opening to the master bath instead of the toilet would give you more space to dry yourself. You could add the triangle shape space to the closet.

Suzanne-m, you understand correctly. It is not optimal, but because the long hang is a short span, I would prefer the 18" in between than to abut the small amount into the corner and have most of blocked by the hanging adjacent and perpendicular as shown by the OP.

The OP asked about the configuration provided, so I addressed it specifically within those parameters. If the OP can modify the floor plan into other spaces as suggested by OnePlan, that would be helpful. The current closet space is problematic. I am used to making the best of bad spaces, since I usually do not have the option to change floor plans.
