I'm looking to move to a new house. Our first home was built in 1980's, so naturally we've put in a lot of work to update it. We enjoyed each and every project and learnt a lot from it. But as our family has grown, we are ready to move on. My husband is interested in newly constructed houses. I usually find them to be a repetition of every 2nd or 3rd home in the plat. Is it more expensive to hire a builder and build from scratch to your own specification than buying an already constructed home? Does anyone have an idea about what it would cost to build app 3000 sq ft house in king county, WA?
