Monster Fireplace

PLEASE offer up any suggestions!
This fireplace is a MONSTER! It's way oversized and asymmetrical. BUT I can't do too much with it with tight pockets (under 800 max). Please help!!
There was a house fire in our new place (hadn't moved in yet) so please use your imagination! (The room is sunken but I will be having it raised. Hard wood floors, French doors, white trim...)
NOTE: this is a country rambler...in the country with a barn and that is our style! This will be our dining room complete with our farmhouse table.
